Biker Bar in use

With B&W's Biker Bar, it's never been easier to secure your motorcycle for travel. Just bolt the latching plate to the floor of your trailer, and clamp the included bar to your bike's frame. Once both components are appropriately mounted, simply drive your motorcycle onto your trailer, over the latching base plate, and the bar will automatically latch into the base. No straps or wheel chocks are needed.

Not only does this motorcycle tie-down system make it fast and easy to connect your bike to your trailer, but it also makes it safer and more secure. Because there are no tie-down straps, there are no buckles or hooks to rub against your bike, potentially scratching your paint or trim. And because the bar attaches to your motorcycle's frame, this system provides more stability than tie-downs alone. In fact, the Biker Bar system is designed not only to secure your bike, but also to create a natural ride for it during trailering. Once hooked up to the latching plate in your trailer, your motorcycle's suspension is effectively linked with the suspension system of the trailer, eliminating undo stress on your bike.

Installation

Installation of the Biker Bar is simple. The bar itself clamps to your bike's tubed frame, just behind the transmission. Be sure to clear any potential obstacles, such as hydraulic lines or wiring harnesses, that could get caught between the clamps and the frame. The clamps on the bar are lined with neoprene to prevent scratches to your bike's frame.

Once you have the bar securely clamped to the frame of your bike, ride the bike onto the trailer to determine the location where you want the bike to attach. Mark that spot on the floor of your trailer so that you can bolt down the latching plate. You will have to drill into your trailer's floor to attach the plate.

The final setup step is to adjust the height of the latching base. Once the base is bolted to the trailer's floor, ride the bike over it until the bar is directly in front of the base. Measure the distance from the middle of the bar to the trailer's floor. Your bike's suspension must be slightly compressed while latched down to appropriately stabilize the bike during transport. So you must remain sitting on the motorcycle while taking this measurement. Once you have this measurement, remove the bar from the bike and place it in the latching base. Adjust the height of the base until the bar is the same distance from the floor as it was when on the motorcycle. The base adjusts in 1/4" increments, so the height may not be exact. As long as the bar is within 1/4" of your initial measurement, setup is complete.

We just got 2 bars installed in the toy hauler and did a test run. Everything appears to be on the up and up and are happy with the product, how it mounts/locks into place, and appears to be a game changer to all the straps and tie downs from the past

Still great!! We’re on the road again, using the Biker Bars and having no issues! Fabulous product!

by:

I absolutely love this tie down system. No straps to trip over. Easy set up. Highly recommended.

by:

I bought three of these to use on a open car hauler type trailer I had made to trailer my three Harleys, two Wide Glides & a Road Glide Ultra. The trailer is 20' long which includes a 30" dovetail. It has two 3500 lb axels and is 82" wide inside fender to fender. The Biker Bar performs as advertised. No need for tie down straps. I trailered these bikes 900 miles from Missouri to Colorado and back, along I-70. I-70 in spots, especially going through Denver can be pretty rough. Lots of dips and bumps across all the overpasses. The Biker Bar held the bikes great with no problems. I used some cheap wheel chocks from Harbor Freight on the front wheels to keep the front wheel from flopping, but found out they were not really necessary when the Biker Bar is adjusted properly. Will not use them on the next trip. The Biker Bar is easy to install, just read the instructions and watch the video etrailer provides. B&W you could make the install a one man job if you provided a 3/16" dia hole in the plates that mount under the trailer. This would allow you to use a temporary screw to hold the plate in place while you drill the holes for two permanent bolts. I used a drywall screw and a fender washer to hold the plate in place. Also the two 5/8" dia bolts that hold the Main plate, are not long enough to go through a 1-1/2" board. I had to buy new bolts an inch longer. Other than that, I really am pleased with the "Biker Bar".

Love them!

I love the B&W Biker Bar. We have pulled my HD Ultra Limited in an enclosed trailer behind our RV over 28 states so far. It loads and unloads in minutes, and has never moved at all, even through several full-brake lockdowns and all of the potholes that the northeast US could throw at us! It is a well-designed product. My only question now is what do I do with all of those old straps I used to have to use [Thumbs Up]

Another year into our cross country tour in the RV and I am still loving my Biker Bar. This is one of the best designed, high quality products I have ever used. Perfect!

by:

The tie-down did not work on my 2021 Harley Tri Glide. The lack was faulty and would not click in. I had to use modify the bracket to work. But it still doesn't work well. So I have been using straps. Since I had to modify the bracket, figured it was no good ro send it back. Cause I had no time to exchange it,cause I need to move right away. If I had one that worked it would be a great pice of equipment.

I know that this bar will work well for you if the latch can be taken care of. They do have a limited 5-year warranty through B and W and I am happy to send the details over to you.

by:

Finally can write review after 600ml trip. Rock solid! Bike becomes part of trailer. Front wheel dosen't even budge.Had to have underside plates replaced because supplied one's too small for my trailer,(wielding shop fixed that). Pat at etrailer was great! Would and have recommended.

The Biker Bar works great.Love it! Gives us travel options and enables longer trips.very well made 4 stars! Would give 5 but under side plates too small and had to have bigger ones made. Handles 800 lb Road King great

by:

It is very simple to lock ur bike down and go, no messin around with straps or anything.

by:

What a revolutionary idea! I purchased 2 B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down Systems a year ago. I have used them in my enclosed 6 x 10 enclosed trailer to haul 2 bikes, an Ultra CVO and a Street Glide to Panama City Beach bike week and Sturgis. With traditional tie downs there was no way to get both bikes in my trailer.
Zero problems, 2 thumbs up!!!

by:

I love this product. Easy to install, no more having to put on the straps, compressing the front forks almost all the way down and having to recheck the strap tautness at every stop. Just ride the bike in to the lock down mechanism and dismount. Bike never moved an inch. Released the lock down mechanism with my heal and biked the bike off the trailer. Waiting for everyone else to instead their bikes.

by:

Worked as promised. After first use, I would recommend the Biker Bar

by:

The biker bar was delivered quick! Installation was pretty easy just using the directions, but there are multiple videos if you get stuck. The only problem I had was not with the biker bar system, but with the Harley. I have a bracket for my crossover pipes that interfered with the bar clamp position. It caused the bar to be either too far forward interfering with the kick stand, or too far aft of center. I wound up cutting a 3 inch section out of the bracket to give me access to the frame. From there it was gravy. I've got a 3600 mile trip coming up. If the bike stays solid like it is right now, I expect no issues. If there are problems, I'll let you all know.

by:

Once I set the Biker Bar up and found out how to load the bike it was great. After loading the bike I took it for a ride and the handlebars turned on the bike. I had a hard time finding out why. The website said adjust the bar down and e-trailer said I had it down too much. I found that when I loaded the bike there was a preload on the front suspension. I now load the bike and with the bar latched turn the steering left and right a couple times and the preload goes away. Towed the bike 5,500 miles and it never moved.

The Biker Bar works great. I never have to worry about the bikes moving and they are easy to load. They are worth the money.

by:

Bought Biker bar to better secure my bike while trailering. Bought extra set of mounts to place in toy hauler so biker bar can be used in trailer or toy hauler and so far has worked great!!

Hands down the best way to secure a motorcycle. Well worth the extra money

by:

Best invention since the light bulb. Installed in 20 mins and loaded the bike in 2 mins. I have seen this product at a bike rally and had to have one. No more straps.... I have experienced $5,500 in damage when my buddies bike fell over onto mine in my trailer that was secured by straps, if I owned a biker bar then I never would have needed to file a claim on my insurance.

Love it. Best invention since the paperclip. Greatest item ever to transport you bike. I tell everyone about it.

by:

The best thing I've ever used for my road glide.

by:

This product is amazing! My only regret is not ordering one sooner before straps messed up my paint. If you trailer your Harley anywhere, this is a must have!

by:

Have used them before and they are great. Mine is still in the box till I can get it the time to get it installed.

by:

I recently installed the biker bar in my 24 foot enclosed trailer. It was a very easy installation that took about 45 minutes. After the installation I locked in my 2016 ultra limited low Harley davidson. It was a perfect fit. I was and still am amazed how great this system holds my bike down and totally locks it to my trailer. The next day I had to do a test just to make sure my bike would be okay on long trips. So I drove my trailer around doing normal and slightly aggressive braking and quick turns. After about an hour or so I pulled over into a parking lot. I opened the side door to my trailer and there my Harley davidson was still upright and looking good. By the way you do not need any other tie down with this system. This is the best system ever!

by:

Work amazing! Very well built product. Bike attaches to mounting plate and does not move. Takes very little time to install the bar on bike and load in the trailer. Not using straps is the best thing about it.

by:

Easy to install, both in trailer & on bike (1984 Tour Glide). Secured bike for 2,700 km trip from Ontario to PEI (friend towed it there in my cargo trailer). No shifting of bike during trip, regardless of road conditions. Haven't used since then but keeping nearby, just in case. Very well made product that works as advertised.

by:

I have hauled my 800 pound Harley for over 2000 miles using this Biker Bar with no ty-down straps. It is an excellent clean option for my trailer. It is just a little tricky learning how to disconnect my bike, but just a little grease and some practice, and I have it mastered.

by:

I’ve tried different tie downs, and “the Biker Bar” is by far the best and safest way to transport my motorcycle hands down! No Worries!

by:

I love it. I have buddy's that want to get 1. My bike is up front of a 5 bike trailer, I ride mine in and stand back while they sweat their buttons off, it's awesome.

It's the best thing to use for a bike
